Joss Whedon’s Series, Buffy the Vampire Slayer, is a television phenomenon that has paved the way for female leads, vampire tropes and supernatural twists.

 

 

The premise of the show begins with a teenage girl whose been chosen to fight the forces of evil, wherein her high school sits upon the literal mouth of hell. The show represents a bildungsroman narrative through Buffy's transition to womanhood, full of analogies and metaphors of 'monsters' and 'demons' that delve into the real-life issues for girl who feels the burden of life.
